Artist Statement

My creative path is deeply intertwined with the profound journey of motherhood. A work emerges from simple things: a daily ritual, a word dropped like a seed, an extreme emotion, a sense of wonder, a touch.

My sculptures and works on paper often incorporate objects that have a history. The fabrics of my children's outgrown clothes have long fascinated me since they carry memories, stir emotions and inspire new ideas about the familiar, the obvious and the unseen, the tangible and the imagined.

Through my multimedia works I am exploring the significance these early experiences carry, from birth to growth, how they shape my identity as a woman and my perception of time in the here and now.

By delving deeper into the richness of the mother-child relationship, into the unrepeatable and the fragile, my hope is to initiate contemplation and dialog for those who come across my work.
